Original BOAC Speedbird Logo

The most commonly used Aden Airways Logo depicts a red-coloured stylized Speedbird, unique in design to Aden Airways.

It is actually a double image of the BOAC Speedbird logo. The Arabic version is reversed as Arabic text reads right to left. The are several variations and colours in logo appearances which is perhaps due to them being hand-drawn/painted - there were no computers in those days!

Although Aden Airways was a subsidiary of BOAC, BOAC made it mandatory that Aden Airways could not use the same Theyre Lee-Elliot Speedbird design as used by the parent airline.
