Aden Airways Office
at the Crescent Hotel Annexe

At the rear of the Crescent Hotel was a 27 room Annexe which was opened in 1950. It featured phone extensions in every room.  The Annexe was built for and by A. Besse Company. Gino Almondo was the project  supervisor. At this time both the Crescent Hotel  and the  Annexe were Besse's properties.

The Annexe had a hairdressing salon and an Aden Airways booking office to the left off the lobby. Ann Berryman joined Aden Airways in 1954 and worked at the booking office whilst also flying as a stewardess when required.
