G-ALHS

Canadair C-4 Argonaut

Shown here at London Airport in the the mid 1950s G-ALHS was known as 'Astrea'. It was sold to Derby Airways in 1961 who subsequently leased it to Aden Airways. Derby Airways was taken over by British Midland and on it's return to U.K. 'Astrea' was finally broken up in 1970.

Trying to find a photograph of this aircraft

On 20th April 1953 Aden Airways leased this DC3 FROM SAL? (Saudi Airlines?) Then on 1st May 1953 the aircraft is believed to have gone to BWIA and changed registration to VP-TBJ? It may have gone to Brothers Air Services in 1968.

VP-YNG

Vickers Viscount

VR-YNG is in background.

It seems this aircraft may have been leased from EAA as it retained EAA livery but had the Aden Airways name on the rear of the fuselage.

VP-KOI

Canadair C-4 Argonaut

VP-KOI was leased from EAA in 1963. It had the Aden Airways name on the fuselage above the windows, over the wing.

VP-KOJ

It appears VP-KOJ was leased from EAA. It had the Aden Airways name on the fuselage above the windows, over the wing.
