My father worked from Aden
Airways from 1953 to 1958, Bill Quekett was his
name. He was the Station Manager. I was six when
we left, however, I do remember living there. My
mother taught at the Isthmus School and ran a riding
school at the Khormaksar. My father died in 1976 in
Australia but my mother is still alive (2007) and
living in Australia, she’ll be 89 next year! I am
sure she would have some memories for your web site
if you were interested. In the meantime I’ve
attached a scan of an Aden Airways Christmas card
which we’ve hung on to for 50 years!
Best wishes, Will Quekett
