The Lucky Stores

Located in The Prince of Wales Crescent, Steamer Point, the Lucky Stores was a popular shopping destination for tourists and locals alike. The store owner, instead of haggling over the price of an item, would often spin a coin. He always seemed to end up smiling even if he lost.

The wooden staircase on the left led to the Imperial Music House which had an upstairs cafe with a balcony. This is where I'd have my Canada Dry ice-cream soda floats.

Next door to Lucky Stores, in a single storey building, was the Pak General Store .
