A brief history about myself. I am married and I have a daughter, who graduated last year in IT, and a son who is doing first year Telecom Engineering. I did my O-level at Tech Institute, Maalla, Aden, then I joined the national airlines, ALYEMDA in those days, and I was lucky to get a chance to study at Brunel Technical College, Bristol, England. Now I am Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.

My career helped me to travel a lot and I really love travelling, as does my wife, who used to serve in the Aden Treasury - Ministry of Finance, Crater, Aden. She is currently a housewife.

After the so called unification of the 'two Yemens' I was forced to transfer to Sana'a. At present I work for Yemen Airways.

My elder sister Haleema (born in 1948) used to work in the accounts and control department of the RAF at Ras Boradli near Gold Mohor beach.

After the Independence of South Arabia we had a semi-socialist regime but that was still ok. Now we are under the occupation of the Republic of Yemen. This is really sad for all the southerners, but that is politics.

Next time I will try to send you some fresh photos of Aden. Sorry I don't have any postcards of Aden but I am trying through some friends. However, they won't be different from the ones you have on the web. I am also sending you a photo of myself and my wife.
