Brigadier-General G H More-Molyneux CB DSO
When Brigadier General
Penton was invalided home after less than eight
months in Aden his replacement was Brigadier-General G H
More-Molyneux CB DSO. As with
Penton no career
details are currently available.
He lasted less time than
Penton, whether again for medical reasons or because
his was only intended as a temporary appointment one
does not know. His replacement,
Major General Maitland, arrived on 24th
June. The reason for this change might be that Aden had
been upgraded to a Major General’s appointment, as
Maitland,
Mason and
Shaw (the next three
Residents) were all at that rank when they began their
tours.
