Palonjee Dinshaw

Pallonjee Dinshaw was named after my great grandfather, Pallonjee Patel, He was one of the first Indians to set up business in Aden. It was owned by one of my father's paternal uncles, Sorabjee Patell.  He was a great one for putting himself forward and was the leading light in the Chamber of Commerce, Masonic Lodge etc.  You must have come across him in plenty of  documents. He owned property on Sira island and, if I remember right, used to supply distilled water as well as some carbonated drinks.  His 3 grandaughters are all settled in Sydney Australia.                                                Noshir Patel 2007
