Brigadier General H E Penton

Brigadier General H E Penton replaced Creagh as Resident at the end of June 1900, but no details of his career are currently available. He was Resident for less than eight months as on 24 February 1901 he ‘proceeded to Europe on medical certificate’. Until a replacement could be appointed Major Abud, the 1^st Assistant, was appointed ‘Political Resident sub pro-tem’.
